Da Ma Cai has announced the distribution of RM2 million to 142 charitable organisations nationwide under its Annual Community Aid Charity Programme, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to community support.
Established in 1994, the Programme marks its 33rd year this year. Over the decades, it has supported welfare homes and non-profit organisations nationwide in upgrading facilities, enhancing care standards and improving the wellbeing of vulnerable communities.
This year’s total contribution includes RM1.3 million under the core programme and an additional RM700,000 raised through the third consecutive year of the dmcGO CNY “Give Luck Get Luck” Charity GO Packages initiative. Strong public participation during the festive campaign enabled the programme to expand its outreach from 115 organisations last year to 142 organisations in 2026.
“In a more challenging economic conditions, organisations need to strengthen planning and management to ensure resources are utilised effectively,” said Dato’ Sri Tan Kong Han, Managing Director of Da Ma Cai. “Sustainable impact is achieved through collective participation and strong governance – when corporations, customers and charitable organisations work together.”
At the official launch presentation ceremony held at Ti-Ratana Welfare Society Malaysia, RM812,000 was distributed to 57 organisations from Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Pahang. Separate presentation in the Northern and Southern region saw RM610,000 and RM578,000 distributed respectively, benefitting another 85 organisations.
The Annual Community Aid Charity Programme remains one of Da Ma Cai’s flagship corporate social responsibility initiatives, reflecting its continued commitment to supporting charitable and community development effort nationwide.
In addition to the RM2 million distributed under this programme, Da Ma Cai also channels its profits to The Community Chest supporting a wide range of initiatives including education programmes and school facilities upgrade.
Da Ma Cai is a brand of Pan Malaysian Pools Sdn Bhd (“PMP”), Malaysia’s authorised numbers forecast operator. On an annual basis, Da Ma Cai actively supports various causes in the areas of education and social welfare through a wide range of programmes and activities carried out in the country. Following the acquisition of PMP by Jana Pendidikan Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“JPM”), all of PMP’s net dividends that JPM receives will be donated to The Community Chest. With this structure, Da Ma Cai has effectively been transformed from a for-profit organisation into a social business, providing long term donations to The Community Chest for the benefit of the Malaysian community.
